Westview Dental Centre provides comprehensive denture services including complete, partial and immediate dentures.
 
A denture is a removable dental appliance used to replace missing teeth and is made to resemble your natural teeth and may even enhance your smile.

Complete dentures are used when all of the teeth are missing. A conventional denture is created after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has healed. During this time the patient will go without teeth. An immediate denture is made in advance and immediately placed in the mouth after the teeth are removed. This prevents the patient from having to be without teeth during the healing process.  Once the tissues shrink and heal, necessary adjustments are made.

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain, this type of denture fills in the spaces created by missing teeth and also prevents other teeth from shifting. They can be fabricated completely out of acrylic or metal frames with acrylic on top.

Once a denture treatment plan is established, the process begins with taking highly accurate impressions and measurements to create your custom denture.  Once the wax model is established, there may be several “try-in” appointments necessary to ensure proper shape, color, and fit.  Once the denture is complete, your dentist will precisely adjust the denture to ensure a natural and comfortable fit.

Dental implants are also available with dentures to help hold the appliance in place securely and increase chewing capabilities.
